Members of Surlang Roofing Ltd. on call on Victoria Day, lend their roofing expertise by helping to secure damages to the Murray Green townhouse after Saturday’s fire.
Around 4 AM on Saturday morning, flames from a blaze at a construction site at 49 Avenue and 221 Street leaped to the neighboring Murray Green townhouse, reaching high into the dawning sky, captured on video by The Vancouver Sun.
Murray Green townhouse, built in 1997, offers 130 homes. More than 150 of its residents were evacuated from their homes and gathered at the W.C. Blair facility.
